Foreign citizens insured under the Сompulsory Health Insurance (CHI, rus: Обязательное медицинское страхование or ОМС) in Moscow have the right to receive medical care upon presentation of the CHI policy or health insurance card. Planned inpatient care for foreign citizens insured under the CHI system is provided in the medical direction of the polyclinic.
According to the administrative documents in force of the CHI system of the city of Moscow, non-working foreign citizens who have a residence permit in Moscow and, accordingly, a mark in the passport about the place of residence, have the right to receive an CHI policy in the capital city.
In this regard, to obtain an CHI policy, we recommend contacting one of the medical insurance organizations operating in the CHI system of the city of Moscow. Points of issue of CHI policies are deployed in city polyclinics and offices of insurance companies (central points).
